Joint lab trip to Lake Como

It turns out we don’t spend all our time staring at Western blots, pipettes, and protein gels!

The joint Papa Lab and Albanese Lab escaped to the beautiful shores of Lake Como for a day of trekking, team-building activities, plenty of laughs, and conversations that (mostly) didn’t involve experiments.

We even put our experimental skills to the test in the kitchen by cooking (and, more importantly, successfully eating!) homemade pizzoccheri. Fortunately, the only thing that got “overcooked” was lunch, not the science.

A great reminder that the best collaborations are built both inside and outside the lab. Back to the bench with recharged batteries, full stomachs, and maybe just a few sore legs. Until the next adventure! ⛰️🥾🍝
