Welcome to Papa lab
We are a molecular biology laboratory, dedicated to advancing the understanding of viral replication mechanisms and developing new therapeutic approaches. We are a group of young, ambitious, and passionate scientists who share a love for viruses. From uncovering their secrets to figuring out how they work, we are driven by curiosity and teamwork as we explore these tiny but fascinating organisms.
Our Research Focus
We are passionate about unravelling the complexities of viral infections and developing innovative antiviral strategies. Our research focuses on viral replication factories, intracellular compartments that some viruses assemble to replicate inside the cell. By employing an interdisciplinary approach encompassing molecular biology, advanced microscopy and state-of-the-art proteomics, we aim to study how these essential compartments are formed and their role in promoting viral replication. We are also dedicated to translating our research into impactful solutions by pioneering novel antiviral strategies based on targeted protein degradation technologies.
